Werner Faymann new consultant. The PEMA group successfully secured prominent additions to their team in the form of retired Chancellor and his former press spokesman, Matthias Euler-Rolle, as senior consultants.

With the help of 4PRO and retired Chancellor of Austria, Werner Faymann, the PEMA group managed to add further distinguished consultants, focusing on activities in the country’s capital and internationally. In the autumn of 2016, the Ex-Chancellor Werner Faymann and his former press spokesman Matthias Euler-Rolle founded the real estate and PR company “4Pro Projektmanagement- und KommunikationsgmbH”. The company focuses on the development of real estate projects and communication, including associated PR.

“We are very proud that Werner Faymann decided to embark on a long-term collaboration with my company,” explains PEMA’s sole proprietor Markus Schafferer. “Due to his long-standing work as city councilor for Vienna’s housing council, as well as his international experience, Werner Faymann is familiar with the main topics of the real-estate trade,” notes Schafferer, delighted by his prominent addition who will act as “senior consultant.”

The collaboration was made possible by the support of the successful founder and long-standing CEO of the furniture giant KIKA/Leiner. “We were introduced by Herbert Koch, who has for years invested into several real estate projects together with Markus Schafferer, trusting his expertise. We intensified our conversations and came to the conclusion that we have a good relationship of trust, and the right chemistry. I am convinced that we can support the PEMA group with our 4PRO company, especially in achieving their goals with respect to the Vienna market,” says Faymann.

Faymann has been passionately involved with real estate for years: “Cities and thus urban areas will continue to grow rapidly, according to UNO estimates. The diversity and potential of urban life demands innovative and economically sensible projects. The realization of sustainable projects relies on responsible companies. We are delighted to closely collaborate with Markus Schafferer and his PEMA group in the future.”

4PRO and Werner Faymann will professionally support Bruno Ettenauer, former CEO of the CA-Immobilien Anlagen AG, as “senior consultant.” Ettenauer has been working for the PEMA group since 2016 at their Vienna site in the Palais Equitable on the Stock-im-Eisen-Platz.

The PEMA group has developed real estate projects in Austria, Germany and South Tyrol with a total volume of more than 500 million Euros since its foundation in 2005. The company with two locations in Innsbruck and Vienna is completely owned by Markus Schafferer, and has so far made its mark especially in the European region of Tyrol.

“Headline” represents the first high-rise building erected in the inner city of Innsbruck since the Olympic Games of 1976. It replaces the former mail distributor center in the Brunecker Straße at the main train station. The 50-meter building by the Viennese architecture firm Henke-Schreieck houses the municipal court of Innsbruck, is the seat of the biggest media house of Western Austria, the Moser Holding (including Tiroler Tageszeitung), and home of the Design-Hotel Adlers, overlooking the roofs of Innsbruck. On a net floor area of 21,000 m2, high-end offices and business premises were established, creating space for more than one hundred work places.

In the Amraser Straße 2-4, in close proximity to “Headline”, PEMA built another 50-meter high multifunctional residential and commercial building with an area of approximately 19,000 m2, called PEMA 2. At the base of the building a new modern city library of Innsbruck will be built on over 4,000 sqm. The city of Innsbruck purchased the space for more than 16 million Euros from the PEMA group. In the tower, 173 student flats are being built. PEMA 2 will be completed by mid-2018.

The PEMA group is further involved as core stakeholder of the Outlet Center on Brenner, built for 44 million Euros, located at the old border between Austria and Italy. 60 international businesses have since settled there. In Vienna, the PEMA group first became active by buying the 80-meter high PORR tower. The PEMA group recently sold its share of the PORR headquarters to the family trust of Kika/Leiner founder Herbert Koch.

A third PEMA tower is being planned for Innsbruck for 2018. The aim is to create 11,000 sqm of rental space. The biggest tenant for this site near Innsbruck’s main train station has already been secured, the Motel One Group is planning to implement 180 hotel rooms there. The PEMA group is investing more than 45 million Euros.

The businessman from Innsbruck, born in 1978, graduated from the Gymnasium Reithmannstraße and successfully completed his law degree within only 4 years. Markus Schafferer founded the PEMA group in 2005 and is the sole owner. His interest in art, architecture and design originates from his activities in the art trade during his studies. Schafferer’s curiosity for new things and art appreciation are reflected in the realization of forward-looking projects in urban design. He especially cares for the respectful management of the environment for future generations. “In new projects, it is very important for us to develop modern and creative architectural solutions that measure up to our high esthetic expectations. In my opinion, a real estate development can be considered successful if additional benefits for tenants, investors and local citizens have been created.” Schafferer is married and has a son.
